INPUT: selects item records of type "MAGAZINE" that are not "SHADOWED".
OUTPUT: Holdings in Ingenta's specified fixed length record format.

Extracts serials holdings using specific flags in the prtitem tool. These flags
are critical because the formatting code depends on these flags.
Another candidate tool to use for this process is the catalogdump tool. It was
initially rejected because the the bib info and holdings info were output to two
seperate records linked in the same file by the flex key (001). The only advantage
of the catalogdump tool is that it outputs the tag followed by the data...ignoring any changes
that might have occurred to labels. The prtitem tool outputs the label followed by
data.
Sometimes the labels for holdings data changes. You can run this program in DEBUG mode
to get a file of item records formatted. These formatted records are what gets input to the
formatting code for ingenta.
